Hi ,

Our FW is an IP290 Disk based, running IPSO 6.2-GA083a02 (MR4) with R75.40. ( Management a VM with Smartconsole R77.20.)

Could you tell me the best way to upgrade the IP290 from R75.50 to R77.20, without upgrading IPSO ? Wich SKs would be useful ?

And can I easily revert back on previous R75.40 image if a pb occurs during/after migration ?

Thanks and best regards

Isabelle

Hi Isabelle,

My first recommendation is to move to R77.30 with the latest Jumbo.

Wither way the following link provides the best practice steps for upgrading an none-gaia appliance.

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R77/CP_R77_Non_Gaia_Installation_and_Upgrade_Guide/html_frameset.htm

In IPSO technical by turning off the new package and turning on the old package you are reverted back. It is still always recommended to take a backup. Since this is a standalone it would be best to do a upgrade_export. This is also documented in the above link.

Thank you,

Dan Morris.
