Checkpoint Licence transfer to Open Server

Hello,

I have checkpoint appliance and they are quite old. now i want to install checkpoint management on the open server. Now do i need to buy new licence to do that or i can transfer licence.

Please suggets.

Hello Prem,

Licenses purchased for an appliance can only be used on that specific appliance. If you would like to deploy an open server management, you would want to use an open server license instead. If you do not own one already, you would want to contact your local reseller to order one.

Can I transfer the Licence.

Like detach the licence from appliance and use it on open server

No you cannot; the license for the Smart-1 can only be used on the Smart-1.
